By accessing or using TopScholar's website (topscholar.xyz), Chrome Extension, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

TopScholar is an AI-powered resume optimization platform that provides:

• •AI-powered resume parsing and analysis from PDF uploads
• •Job description extraction from supported job posting sites
• •ATS (Applicant Tracking System) fit scoring with gap analysis
• •AI resume rewriting with keyword optimization
• •A web-based resume editor with PDF and DOCX export
• •A Chrome extension that activates on supported job sites

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using TopScholar, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

• •You authenticate via email-based OTP (one-time password). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account.
• •You agree to provide a valid email address and not to impersonate any other person.
• •We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5.1 Free Plan

Free accounts receive a limited number of resume optimizations per month. Free plan features may change at our discretion.

5.2 Paid Plans

• •Paid plans are billed as one-time payments for the selected duration (4 months or 1 year).
• •Payments are processed securely through Cashfree. We do not store your credit card or bank account details.
• •Your subscription is activated immediately upon successful payment and expires at the end of the purchased duration.

5.3 Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied, contact us at support@topscholar.xyz within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable.

• •Your Content: You retain full ownership of your resume data, personal information, and any content you upload. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
• •License to Us: By uploading content, you grant TopScholar a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., AI analysis, optimization, storage).
• •AI-Generated Content: Optimized resume content generated by our AI is provided for your personal use. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content before using it.

You agree NOT to:

• •Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to submit fraudulent resume information
• •Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the Service
• •Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service (other than the official Chrome Extension)
• •Share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account
• •Interfere with the operation of the Service or overload our servers
• •Upload content that contains malware, viruses, or malicious code

• •TopScholar uses OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini for AI-powered features. AI-generated content (scores, suggestions, rewritten resumes) is provided as-is and should be reviewed before use.
• •We do not guarantee that AI-optimized resumes will result in interviews, job offers, or specific ATS scores on third-party systems.
• •AI outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for verifying the content of your resume before submitting it to employers.

• •We strive to keep the Service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control.
• •Chrome Extension functionality depends on the structure of supported job sites. If a supported site changes its layout, the extension may temporarily not work on that site until we release an update.
• •We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TopScholar and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to TopScholar in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TopScholar, its officers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

The TopScholar name, logo, website design, extension code, and all related materials are the intellectual property of TopScholar. You may not use our branding, trademarks, or proprietary content without written permission.

The Service integrates with third-party providers including OpenAI, Cashfree, Supabase, and Resend. Your use of these integrations is also subject to the respective third-party terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
